Danger from HIV/AIDS for senior old people

While HIV/AIDS is common knowledge that people from women, children , color and homoerotism -- what we never think about senior.

Old people often live a lonely life, but they still need to recreated if possible. But they ignore some risks sometimes.
Or they even didn’t think about some dangers because of their age. For instance, HIV AIDS old people often got, and women more easily.

HIV /AIDS and old age converge and aggravate each other rather than conflict in many ways.

One of My friend Rose at age 66 had pasted the several stages of grief and began to enter her second year as a widow.

That is not an easy task but necessary for us who has survived instincts. She started to date again and I couldn’t have been happier for her.
Tom was a long time friend from our college days, like a brother in a sense.

At the beginning, they enjoyed dinner and theater, but soon developed into holidays at his house. However, hey hadn't considered condoms at old age, they are less likely to get tested. She would not have asked Sam about his sexual activities .But she feel sudden weight loss and fatigue.

When her doctor told that she tested positive for HIV, she was shocked. She wanted to know that how does this happen at her age.
Her medical said that anyone can get HIV/AIDS in spite of age without protected sex, or sharing needles with an infected partner.

She even didn't use condoms to prevent risk, because she did not know Tom's drug or sexual history.

I feel sad for her. Then we decided to do a study of patients at about 55 years with HIV/AIDS. But we realized that most of them often made same mistake as Rose. Otherwise, in their senior years, people don't like to talk about their sex with a young doctor.

We found it is still believed that elder citizens live a simple life without sexual activities. Unfortunately, old people do not always accord to public images any more.

Without the afraid of pregnancy, older women are becoming infected at a higher proportion than senior men.

The post-menopausal woman who may have more sexual activities with more partners. Because the vaginal walls thin and lubrication decreases, the membranes are more likely to tear during sexual intercourse, easier for the virus HIV AIDS .

But whatever the causes, failure to communicate leads to failure of diagnosis in its early, most treatable stages. HIV and old age worsen each other .

Senior citizens who have lost a spouse, they will become more isolated if their children know they have HIV AIDS.

Most adult children lack the patience, and don't want to care their parents in their ultimate life.
