Natural remedies to get rid of Vaginal Yeast Infections

It is no surprise that stress and dietary habits affects our health.

It has been shown that women who eat a lot of carbohydrates and bread have either an increased risk for yeast infections or a harder time getting rid of yeast infections.
Diabetics, who have higher blood sugar levels, are prone to have more yeast infections than those who are not diabetic. Perhaps lowering the amount of bread in the diet would help.

Beleive it or not, I HAVE heard of this occuring. It is extremely rare. I beleive there was a semi-popular b-list 70's pornstar who had this 'deformity' as it has been called on this site.

Very, very few women have actually acknowledged that they have this phenomenon. Those same women reported that their sexual pleasure was probably no different than any other woman...stimulation of the clitoris was pleasurable and exciting, and sex felt wonderful.

Situations like this have been reported as a minor form of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. It is also beleived that this is a minor hermaphrodite development that never fully took.

I remember about 6 years back in High School, we learned that the clitoris is located at the top, and in rare cases located at the bottom of the vagina. Apparently it is not necessarily a deformity, though alcohol or substance abuse may increase chances of a girl being born with this.
Stress is also a major determinant of our health status. Stress increases blood sugar levels and consequently increases the risk of vaginal yeast infections. Relaxation techniques such as yoga, deep breathing, and massages can help.

Yeast infections can be caused by many things in women.

If you are on medication, that is a biggie... I've never heard of yeast infections from him drinking beer.. perhaps he has a yeast infection that he is transfering to you.
Some women have cronic yeast infections from the foods that they eat too.
I would ask a doctor if this is a recurring problem.
Garlic has antifungal activities and can destroy fungus at normal body temperatures.

When fresh garlic is crushed, allicin, the active ingredient that kills fungi, is produced.
The crushed garlic is wrapped in gauze immediately before insertion into the vagina. Powered or dried garlic does not have the same ability to kill fungi as fresh garlic. Side effects to the garlic include an offensive odor and possible allergic reactions.

Beer intake by your husband has practically nothing to do with your infection. It might be that your husband is a carrier of Monilial fungus. which we normally all are and you have less glycogen in the squamous cells which line your vagina, leading to decreased vaginal pH. Another reason for infection can be prolonged use of antibiotics either by you or by your husband. Antibiotics kill normal flora and give a chance to fungus to multiply.

A womans' uretha is very short.

So when she has sex there is a risk of infection. After sex a woman should always urinate immediately. This will cut down on yeast infections and sexually transmitted diseases.
Yogurt douching has been shown to be effective.

It is well recognized that yeast infections caused by Candida are a result of an imbalance of the normal vaginal flora.
Candida, which is normally found in the vagina, is an opportunistic organism that takes over and overgrows when the normal balance of organisms in the body is disrupted.

The Lactobacilus population, which is also normally found in the vaginal flora and maintains the pH, is one of the organisms that are over run by Candida.

Yes it is, but may take longer than if you just took some otc meds; also if you eat more sugars it will take longer to go away and may worsen.

You should not however have intercourse while you have an infection since you can transfer it to your partner, and him back to you and then you're just stuck in a loop
